Hello NetBird Community!
Welcome to our November newsletter! This month, we’ve focused on improvements, feature highlights, and updates to make security more accessible. Here’s what’s new:
NetBird Enhancements
Setup Key Improvements
We've added several updates to improve setup key management:
- Flexible Expiration: Users can now set custom expiration dates for setup keys, including non-expiring keys.
- Key Deletion Option: You can delete setup keys, making it easier to manage expired or revoked keys for a cleaner and more secure account.
Billing Admin Role
To offer flexibility in managing account resources, we’ve introduced a new “Billing Admin” role. This feature enables designated users to handle Plans & Billing, ensuring only authorized team members have access to billing options.
Security for All: Free SSO and MFA
We’re excited to announce that Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is now free for all users, including our cloud-hosted version! Security features like Single Sign-On (SSO) and MFA are essential, and we're committed to making them accessible to everyone—no restrictions.
- Why It Matters: With key security features often behind paywalls, many users are left with limited protection. NetBird believes security is a necessity, not a luxury.
- Seamless Integration: NetBird’s MFA integrates with popular Identity Providers (IdPs) like Google, Azure, and Okta, making it easy to set up. For users without an IdP, enabling MFA is straightforward through our web UI.
